October 27 , 2008, Los Angeles, CA - The MAMMOTH FILM FESTIVAL (MFF) presents an exciting, first-of-its-kind tournament, where features compete head-to-head to win the Festival's top honor: an extensive distribution deal. And it all takes place amidst the breathtaking beauty of the Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort in Mammoth Lakes, California.
MFF feature films are seeded in four genre brackets: Documentary, Comedy/Musical, Drama, and Foreign Film. Determined by audience vote, winning films progress from round to round in this exciting competition, gaining additional screenings and exposure in the process.
The top feature film will be offered a five-year, worldwide distribution deal in 23 territories, plus 1000 retail-ready DVDs, courtesy of New World Digital Entertainment Group. Winners in each genre of competition will receive Best of Category awards.
The Mammoth Film Festival discovers, supports, and inspires artists around the world by introducing their work to audiences and entertainment industry executives.
MFF's Short Film Program screens separately from the Tournament. The winning short film will win a similar distribution deal with New World Digital, including 250 DVDs, a deal valued at over $5000 USD.
